Our Blossom Adult Dance and Wellness Program is designed for the new student and the seasoned dance enthusiast. It is an ideal way for the adult student to learn the basics of dance/fitness techniques and terminology. Students with a bit more experience are challenged with choreography and performance opportunities. Adult classes are offered year-round and give students the necessary skill sets to attain their fitness and wellness goals by choosing a more fun, active lifestyle. Each week, in an open-level Adult class, dancers build on their technique, coordination, strength, flexibility, and stamina. Terminology, body alignment, and stretch are also emphasized while learning to sequence movement together in short combinations. Currently, our ongoing Adult class offerings include African: Remixed which occurs each and every Friday. Every month, we hold Specialty Workshops in Afro-Soca, Zumba, Modern, Salsa, and Swing.
Ongoing Adult Classes
“Fitness Fridays”, we dedicate to African dance. With traditional and contemporary movements, this African ‘Remixed’ class is an energetic dance experience that tones and sculpts the body, maximizing caloric output, fat burning, and total body toning. The funky routines keep you engaged and there is live music to awaken your soul. All levels welcome.
Our “Monday Modern” class is an open level class that introduces the new dancer (and reconnects the “I used to dance back when I was….” dancer) to the foundations of Modern Dance. A great way to develop core strength and correct body alignment, Modern Mondays is a surefire way to get longer and leaner.
Specialty Adult Workshops
Our “Ballet: Back to Basics” Workshop is a fun beginner Ballet fitness class that fuses strength with technique with grace and poise. This workshop happens by appointment only.
Our Zumba Special Workshops, when scheduled, offer the fun and freedom of the dance party coupled with a total workout, combining all elements of fitness. Zumba® Fitness is a feel-happy workout that combines a motivating fusion of Latin and international music with unique moves and dynamic combinations that allow participants to dance away their worries. It is based on the principle that a workout should be “Fun and Easy to Do” allowing Zumba® Fitness participants to stick to the program and achieve long-term health and fitness benefits in both body and mind. All levels welcome.
Our “Early Bird Vinyasa Flow” Workshops happen by appointment only. When scheduled, a certified Vinyasa Yoga teacher conducts an hour and 15min long class from 7 am – 815 am.
